By decontextualizing moving images of female amputees extracted from the internet, this work explores how the disabled body can become a sexualized object. All the visual material used for this video consists of found footage from YouTube. The soundtrack was extracted from one of the original clips.
A partir de varios vídeos encontradas en internet de mujeres con algún miembro amputado, este trabajo tiene como objeto ofrecer una nueva perspectiva respecto al modo en que el cuerpo ‘discapacitado’ es frecuentemente representado. Pretende así, eludir su carácter abyecto y explorar su potencial como objeto de deso.
